Sales Representative - Northeast Region

The Sales Representative establishes sales forecast for existing and new customers in ME, MA, NH, VT and CT (you must live in this territory) along with overall strategic plan.  Achieves and/or exceed sales goals and revenue objectives established by company management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSÂ
Â
Builds and maintains positive relationships with customers and other team members.
Â
Develops strategies for creating additional revenue and new business opportunities from new and existing customers.
Â
Gathers and provides competitive information and identifies and monitors industry trends and changes.
Â
Effectively communicates company services, capabilities, unique characteristics and philosophies to other members of the sales team.
Â
Maintains weekly and monthly reporting.
Â
Communicates and coordinates with Account Executive and Sales Coordinator for new client implementation.
Â
Identifies issues, problems and opportunities, gathers and interprets the information, then generates alternatives and commits to action.
Â
Partners with Regional Managers to resolve customer complaints/problems as they arise and/or coordinates the resolution.
Â
Assists in coordinating and participating in all marketing events, i.e., trade shows, conferences, seminars and local association meetings as required.
Â
Maintains compliance with operational budget guidelines.
Â
Meets all administrative responsibilities and requirements and complies with all policies and procedures.
Â
Maintains a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Â
Education, Training and/or Experience
Â
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration or related field; 2-5 years of sales experience.
 Â
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
Â
Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
Â
High degree of integrity; highly ethical.
Â
Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict timelines.
Â
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills with proven sales success.
Â
High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Â
Strong attention to detail.
Â
Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.

Able to write reports, business correspondence.

Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications.
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Â
Previous experience in Workers Compensation, Managed Care, or Third Party Administration.Â
The nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents operating standard business office equipment. Day and overnight travel (approx. 50% travel by air and automobile) required for sales responsibilities and trade show attendance.
