Job Description Sales Representative - Elemental Analysis, Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry Thermo Fisher Scientific, a leading supplier of scientific instrumentation and supplies, is looking for a qualified Sales Professional to be responsible for the selling of Chromatography, Mass Spec and Elemental Analysis Systems in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and parts of Northern Virginia.Sales Account Managers are expected to serve as the focal point for routine customer communication which should include full knowledge of their organization, business processes and procedures and key personnel. They shall also have a in depth understanding of the industries they serve and the competitive environment (key competitors, products, personnel, etc.) This position requires a BS degree in a relevant scientific discipline and experience selling capital equipment. Must have working knowledge of Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry and Elemental Analysis (ICP & AA) techniques as well as broad familiarity with the following industries: environmental, forensics/toxicology, pharmaceutical/biotech, food/flavors, petrochemical/petroleum, materials science, etc. Prior capital equipment business development and sales experience are preferred but not required.This position is home based ideally in Maryland, the District of Columbia or Northern Virginia.PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND AND DRUG TESTING IS REQUIREDEducation: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
