The Sales Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the North American Tactical Marketing plan for genomics products within the Life Sciences Group. He/she will determine the best selling strategy and focus the NASD sales team for specific genomics products with field travel as necessary. He/she will coordinate and cooperate closely with manufacturing division marketing and product managers in launching new products. The Sales Product Manager will also provide regular feedback and input to the division marketing teams on product marketability, performance, customer comments and needs. He/she is also responsible for maintenance marketing support for well-established products including product updates, improvements, and line extensions. For the North American market, the Sales Product Manager is responsible for developing successful sales models, providing sales educational tools, sales promotional initiatives, competitive analysis, and disseminating success stories. Sales Product Managers also act as a liaison between Technical and Customer Services and customers to resolve customer issues. Additionally they will be required to respond to customer and sales force inquiries. The Sales Product Managers carry the responsibility for managing pricing, segment analysis, identifying new opportunities and forecasting. He/she will attend key industry tradeshows and sponsor seminars and workshops as needed to promote current product lines. He/she will also visit customers to better understand market and customer needs. This may include providing on-site customer training as well. Up to 30% travel is required.The Sales Product Manager will support the know-how and proficiency of the sales organization by developing and administering training programs. This includes updating training and materials to address market changes and various selling scenarios. He/she will also be responsible for developing and managing Integrated Channel Marketing-based campaigns. Responsibilities also include creating front line sales tools, point-of-sale promotional materials, and collateral for purchasing programs, product shows and sales representative mailings. Sales Product Manager is also responsible for providing product information to drive B2B business, managing and maintaining B2C/ eMarketing content ' eNewsletters, third party email blasts, banner ads, web-based promotions and services Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS degree in a life science or related discipline, MBA or Ph.D. a plus; 1-2 years sales or marketing experience, industry knowledge, or project management; excellent written and verbal communication skills; analytical skills, and a teamwork mentality.
