Job Description SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST Position Summary: Assists with every aspect of the flow of materials for the business unit and is responsible for detailed analytical analysis based on established metrics. Duties will also include implementation of policies to meet the objectives as established by executive initiatives, assisting in managing and coordinating supply chain activities as they relate to all aspects of the supply chain including, but not limited to procurement, inventory control, material control, forecasting and customer service. Responsibilities: · Reviews operational procedures for Materials Procurement including analyses and forecast of customer requirements.· Analyzes inventory levels, production speed, and product demand to determine the amount of finished product that will be produced.· Analyzes Customer Service processes and recommends efficiencies.· Prepares and presents briefing materials for training subordinates, peers and superiors describing current situation, analysis of data, results, improvement options and recommended solutions.· Determines the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast. · Works with other departments to determine optimal inventory levels and employs standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Supply Chain. · Develops and implements inventory control procedures. · Coordinates and participates in the annual wall to wall physical inventory and instructs participants on the procedures to be followed.· Analyzes freight rates and identify cost saving opportunities.· Reviews freight rates, prepares and distributes RFQ for cost comparison, analyze and identify cost saving opportunities.· Develops strategies to reduce costs throughout the supply chain· Partner with the IT Department to identify technical solutions to meet objectives· Confers with Department Managers to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as Production, Sales, Quality, Accounting, and Purchasing.· Prepares and presents benchmark data for monthly Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning (SIOP) Meetings.· Initiates and conducts studies in areas of packaging, warehousing and materials to adequately evaluate exiting procedures and standards.· Assist in developing, analyzing and maintaining departmental budgets.· Participates in planning the layout of warehouses and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.· Coordinates implementation of new products· Studies production schedule in an effort to improve proficiencies and processes as they relate to material and procurement· Gathers and compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistic activities.· Utilizes computer techniques for analysis and documentation.· Prepares reports for VP & General Manager’s review as requested.· Manages projects to achieve organizational goals Requirements: · 2-5 years related supply chain in distribution.· Mastery of MRP/ERP business system application.· Fully experienced in ISO and compliance related practices and procedures· Experience with third party logistics providers.· Ability to direct and manage distribution based customer relationships· Minimum (5) experience in a 100K+_Sq. Ft. warehouse with a minimum of 5,000 SKU’s · BA/BA required in related field of study – MA is preferred.· APIC Certification a plus.· Practical Process Improvement (PPI) training is preferred.· Six Sigma training a plus · Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.· Computer literate, hands on experience using MRP systems, I.E. Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards and other systems.· Hands on knowledge of Macola MRP system a plus.· Windows based spreadsheet and word-processing experience (Word & Excel, UPS online system).· Basic knowledge of Import / Export documentation.· Experience with maquiladora operations a plus Education: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
