It's a rare combination for success that only a career with i3 Drug Safety can provide.   We are looking for talented senior-level healthcare statistical programmers to join our team at one of our following facilities: Waltham, MA or Ann Arbor, MI The Programmer/Analyst serves as a technical expert and manages/conducts small studies independently. The analyst will perform SAS programming and analysis as needed for pharmacoepidemiologic research studies. Analyst will additionally support group by assessing timelines, analytic plans, and oversight of more junior analysts within projects. Analyst will also provide technical expertise, training, and mentoring to junior staff.Function as the lead analyst on large studies. Prepare detailed steps for more junior analysts on the studies. Oversee small studies and feasibility assessments, providing technical expertise/guidance to more junior staff. Serve as technical resource (in SAS programming, statistical & epidemiologic concepts) to analyst team. Execute (or oversee execution of) the specification plan for research studies. Assess feasibility of plan and timeline associated with plan. Create/modify SAS programs to carry out the specifications. Provide analytic advice to project team members; investigate issues with the data and report findings back to team.  Document steps taken in accordance with SOPs. Assist in the preparation of analytic results and study methodology in the form of client reports, journal manuscripts, and abstracts/posters for professional meetings. Draft and review methods section of reports. Assess time needed to accomplish tasks; shift priorities/projects as needed Assist in the preparation of bids for new work, including completing (or overseeing the completion of) feasibility studies Assist with validation, recruiting, new hire training, or other activities that support the analyst team. 5+ years work experience in a research setting. 5+ years programming experience with SAS Proficiency with Excel and STATA. MPH or MS in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Economics, Statistics (or equivalent)Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V
