Research and Laboratory Technican
There are openings for Research and Laboratory Technicians in the Scientific Industry. Whether your interest are biological, food science or environmental. Our clients are seeking well qualified scientist! Duties are not limited to; Handle all media preparations for the lab, including agars, broths, and slants. Use of aseptic and sterile techniques. Platting and streaking. Yeast and mold determination. Measure water conductivity and take pHs for media and samples. Operate autoclaves Handle Quality Control responsibilities for the media stock. Analyze all sample tests results in the lab. Maintain laboratory stock and glassware Summary of Abilities: § Ability to react to multiple and changing priorities with the ability to achieve results within a compressed time fame. Ability to inspect products for quality, perform analytical testing, and evaluated and compiled data. Ability to work well and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, as well as internal and external customers. Ability to recognize problems, analyze them, and offer solutions and use logical thought processes when making decisions. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as specifications, procedure manuals and technical data sheets. Ability to interact and cross train with other departments including chemistry, quality and R&D. The Associate must understand the basic principles of instrumental and analytical techniques and familiar with GMP’s, HACCP’s, OSHA, and FDA rules and regulations. He or she must have a good understanding in math and Microsoft applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel and Word), have excellent writing and communication skills, and must be able to effectively communicate within team frameworks. Requirements Bachelors Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science or other science related field Additional Skills Experience with Polarized Light Microscope (PLM) Experience with Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Experience with Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) We recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset.
