The candidate should have experience in working with primary and established cell lines (preferably differentiated muscle cell lines, but this is not mandatory), as well as project and people management experience. It would be helpful to have a sound foundation in the area of skeltal muscle biology, but what is at least required is strong cell biology skills, and knowledge of assays such as reporter gene assays, biochemistry assays such as protein pull-downs, etc. Also some molecular biology experience would be very helpful, including vector construction, and experience in trasnsfecting or infecting cells with such constructs.
