Research Associate in Medical Diagnostics

Kelly Scientific Resources, a division of Kelly Services, is currently hiring for two Research Associates for a local medical diagnostics company. These are long-term contract positions with potential to become a permanent position. The work schedule for these jobs is first shift M-F.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or equivalent with a minimum of one year in vitro diagnostic product research and development or a master's degree. This position requires basic knowledge of microbiology, immunology, and biochemistry in relation to infectious diseases.The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the following technical skills:' Antigen/antibody purification' Chemical modification of antigens/antibodies' Animal immunization' Production and purification of monoclonal antibodies' Spectroscopic and microscopic methodologies' Bacterial and cell cultureJob duties will include but are not limited to:' Performing experimental activities from planning initial and subsequent experiments to interpretation of experiment results' Maintaining a detailed lab notebook' Assisting in preparation of documents to accompany transfer of new products to Production and Quality Control departments' Communicating consistently with staff in other departments as well as other institutions' Participating in and adhering to the Quality Program as defined by the QSr especially as it pertains to Design Control Learn more about company
