Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate

Sage Sciences, privately owned and located in Beverly, MA, is a biotechnology start-up focused on developing cutting edge laboratory instruments and consumables for the life science research marketplace.  Sage's products are designed to increase laboratory productivity through innovative approaches to routine, commonplace laboratory procedures.

We are looking for a Research Associate or a Sr. Research Associate with hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology.  The successful candidate will have a Bachelors or Masters degree in the life sciences, and at least one year of research experience in an academic or industrial laboratory.  The candidate should be familiar with the following:Molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA purification, PCR, electrophoresis of nucleic acids, and recombinant DNA library constructionExperience with data capture from scientific imaging instrumentationDemonstrated skills in instrument or consumable prototyping.

In addition, experience with next-generation sequencing technology is highly desirable.
