A global leader in the Pharmaceutical industry has an excellent research opportunity to be a part of the oncology target discovery and validation team and to display thorough knowledge of cancer biology.  Our customer is seeking a Research Associate for Cancer Biology for a contract in Cambridge, MA.Duties: This level demonstrates full competency / mastery in own work area: Possesses and maintains state-of-the art technical skills and knowledge in a scientific discipline. Can address complex problems within discipline/project. We are seeking highly motivated research associate to join our oncology target discovery and validation team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of cancer biology and be able to design, execute and analyze experiments independently. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environmentSkills: •Experience in mammalian cell culture, generation of stable cell lines, transient transfection of cell lines and FACS. •Proficient in genetic screening with siRNA/shRNA/cDNA by conventional or viral transduction technologies. •Experience with various protein technologies including, but not limited to Western blotting and immunoprecipitation. •Solid molecular biology experience including qPCR, site-directed mutagenesis, and DNA cloning. •Experience with in vivo tumor models and handling of laboratory animals a plus. •Excellent communication and presentation skills Education: BS or MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, with 3+ years of laboratory research experience.For more information and confidential application please send resumes to cory.donovan@yoh.com .
