Job Description Research Associate 2 - Temporary Position Description: · Perform Western blot analysis for detection of a variety of protein targets.· Troubleshoot Western blots to optimize detection, validate antibodies and demonstrate knockdown at the protein level.· Document experimental design and results in a lab notebook· Collaborates with other scientists. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: · At least three years of relevant work experience with extensive experience in the following: - Western blot analysis- Isolation of protein lysates from cell culture- Troubleshooting protein detection using Western blots- Validation of antibodies for use in Western blots· Ability to trouble shoot and identify scientific solutions. · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria: · Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field· At least three years of relevant work experience· Extensive experience in Western blot analysis· Strong communication (both written and oral) and listening skills; willingness to participate and work in teams.· Strong laboratory work skills. · Able to multi-task and work within designated timelines.
