Reliability Engineer
Required Skills:The successful candidate must possess an engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial / manufacturing maintenance/operation environment with a focus on maintenance and reliability programs is required. The successful candidate must be self motivated / results driven, and possess a strong sense of accountability. This position requires an overall working knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) with experience in the application and analysis of various Predictive Maintenance (PdM) methods. Solid overall machinery knowledge is also required with special emphasis in the areas of pumps, bearings, and seals. The successful candidate must also be detail-oriented, self-motivated, results driven and self-directed while remaining a strong team player. Strategic thinker with the ability to challenge the system to affect an environment of constant improvement. Strong sense of accountability.
Job Description:This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program for all GMP and Non-GMP systems and associated subsystem equipment within the facility. The Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program shall include an Oil Analysis / Lubrication Program, Thermography, Vibration, Ultrasonic, Failure modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). This position will interface and collaborate with various departmental organizations such as Facilities, Engineering, Validation, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing Operations and will maintain clear communications with all internal departments throughout Genentech and with external contractors, vendors and service providers.
The Reliability Engineer will also develop the overall equipment maintenance strategy for production and utility equipment to include Predictive Maintenance (PdM) methods. Develop and train maintenance personnel on predictive maintenance techniques. Analyze data gathered from Predictive Maintenance (PdM) methods such as oil analysis, thermography, and vibration analysis. Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on production and utility equipment and systems. Conduct or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all applicable equipment failures. Work closely with maintenance and operations to prepare and organize technical documentation and operational and preventive maintenance procedures.
