REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
The Regional Sales Manager - is a key player who directly interfaces with Field Application Scientists, other Sales Managers and Customers in order to drive technical sales and support activities for our innovative laboratory automation solutions.

Responsibilities include:
-Accurately forecasting and achieving quota objectives
-Planning and manage performance criteria, which include driving pipeline, account penetration and activity levels
-Prepare and deliver effective multi Million dollar proposals and presentations
-Actively participate in key capital equipment deals and strategy, execution.
-Develop and grow strong customer and external partner relationships
-Ability to collaborate with and direct the activities of Field Applications Specialists
-Effectively interface and negotiate with 3rd party instrument suppliers
-Build personal credibility
-Manage customer networks and relationships at Director and VP levels of management
-Work closely with Marketing, Applications and our Proposal team to develop and present professional customer solutions.

Position location is NY, NJ, CT region of the United States.
About you 

-Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences or equivalent; Advanced degree (e.g. MBA or MS) in a related discipline is preferred.
-Demonstrated knowledge of lab automation and liquid handling.
-4 years of biotech or equivalent sales experience selling laboratory automation.
-5+ years of sales experience with capital equipment with proficiency in automation and/or competitive products; highly desired.
-2 years experience managing sales of large capital equipment in large territories.
-Proven track record of generating revenue and surpassing sales quotas.
-Ability to successfully work deals involving complex contract negotiations.
-A self-starter who is focused, reliable, flexible, well-organized and good problem solving skills.
-Ability to grasp scientific terms and concepts.
-Experience in building long term relationships with clients with a passion for customer satisfaction
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations
-Computer proficiency.
-High energy level, self-motivated, with demonstrated success working independently or in a team-oriented environment.
-Ability to make decisions, keep composure and sense of humor in difficult situations or possible conflicting deadlines.

Travel: 50% of the time
