Regional Account Manager

In this role you will develop relationships with customers and identify potential business opportunities between the company and their managed markets and local government customers. You will maintain account information, provide customer data, and ensure adherence to corporate policies, especially related to OIG, Puerto Rico and US contracting Guidelines. You will develop a high performing Managed Market team to develop and drive customized market pull through programs. You will create district action plans to establish sales priorities, goals and resources allocation. You will negotiate contractual opportunities, evaluate the potential business value of accounts and allocate financial resources accordingly, review account sales dynamics and contract compliance, and help ensure that developed promotional tools are relative to customer needs. Additionally, you will train local sales colleagues and act as a mentor to the District Manager and Specialty/Hospital/Primary Care sales representatives in their management of local plans.Education/ Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Science or Business. 5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience. You must have had prior strong interaction and active field involvement with managed care account managers and pull through projects. Sales management and/or marketing experience is preferred. You must have the ability to think strategically and bring a high level of creativity to the organization, along with an understanding of the managed care market. Additional required skills are time management, business acumen, leadership, direct people management, project management and negotiation.
