Receptionist

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Provides switchboard services for all incoming and outgoing assisted calls. Performs routine duties necessary to maintain front desk services and administers access control for all visitors.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Greet and provide a positive atmosphere for visitors, insure sponsors are notified in a timely manner, assist all visitors with information.
-Maintain an up-to-date Guest Log.
-Notify employees of deliveries (food, florist, etc.)
-Determine the proper routing of all business and individual incoming calls, transfer, connect, reconnect incoming and outgoing calls, provide operator support for local, long distance and international calls for company employees.
-Enforce access control policy, ensuring that all visitors are properly badged prior to entering the facility, ensure visitors requiring escorts have proper escorts.
-Provide conference room and café scheduling as needed.
-Coordinate shuttle and cab services for visitor and employees as needed.
-Maintain reception desk in a neat and professional manner.
-May be asked to provide assistance with various projects.

Minimum Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
-Ability to operate high volume switchboard and multitask if needed.
-Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
-Excellent knowledge of Outlook.
-Working knowledge Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired.
-Ability to work well with others and to assist visitors/guests and other employees cooperatively and courteously.
-Must be professional at all times.
-Punctuality.
