Position Description:

Working supervisor that provides effective leadership and supervision for reagent production personnel in a team oriented environment.Tasks and responsibilities:• Hands-on formulation of reagents, identification and resolution of technical issues.• Review and improve existing manufacturing procedures and protocols.• Schedule and manage resources, track and report results, troubleshoot issues, train employees, and implement process improvements.• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Planning/Purchasing, and Manufacturing groups to deliver results.• Quality review of manufacturing batch records.• Implement corporate, safety and regulatory policies.• Transfer of new products from Research and Development.• Responsible for establishing the production schedule and maintaining reagent inventories, responding promptly to avoid backorders.• Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and cycle count program.• Other duties as may be determined by Management.Minimum educational background:• BA/BSc in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry.• AS Degree with specific experience relating to reagent manufacturing.Preferred experiential background:• MA/MS degree with 2+ years manufacturing laboratory experience including a minimum of one year supervisory experience in a production environment.• BA/BS degree with 5+ years manufacturing laboratory experience including a minimum of one year supervisory experience in a production environment.• AS Degree with 12+ years manufacturing laboratory experience including a minimum of three years supervisory experience in a production environment.• Demonstrated intermediate chemistry, math and analytical skills required. • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and SNP genotyping/sequencing is a plus and experience with Excel is strongly desired. • Experience with computerized inventory control systems such as JD Edwards/Enterprise One is a plus.• QSR and ISO13485 experience strongly desired. • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills required,• Must thrive in a team oriented environment.• Knowledge and skills typically acquired through previous positions in fast-paced corporate environments which involved responsibility for similar work.
