RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST / R&D SCIENTIST
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT / RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST:
The Product Development / Research and Development Scientist may work within the Product and Process Development Department. Responsible for analytical test methods development, qualification and validation. Formulation and lyophilization cycle development and scale-up to production size. Evaluation of proposed formulation, processing procedure and selected container/closure system through pilot batch testing and development stability studies.
Development batch, In-process testing, Final Product, Raw Material and various Stability tests.
Qualifications/Experience:
● Research and Development Scientist requires a (4) year degree in chemistry or closely related science.
● Research and Development Scientist must have an advance degree, MS in analytical chemistry is preferred.
● Research and Development Scientist requires a minimum of (2) years analytical chemistry experience in a pharmaceutical development laboratory.
● Research and Development Scientist requires demonstrated proficiency and trouble-shooting skills in HPLC & GC.
● Proven experience and trouble-shooting skills in IR, UV, KF and TLC.
● Research and Development Scientist must have experience using electrochemical instrumentation.
● Demonstrated knowledge of formulation concepts, analytical method development, research, problem-solving skills and experimental design are required.
● Experience in parenteral product development including lyophilization is desired.
● Computer literacy, documentation/report writing and cGMP experience is required.
