·        PURPOSE

Provide oversight and management of all quality functions associated with the manufacture of printed labels, inserts, and small folding cartons for the pharmaceutical industry. This oversight includes implementation of ISO 9000, compliance with existing cGMP’s, document management and corrective action measures. Conduct audits, develop process improvement.

 

·        ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Quality Assurance reports to the General Manager and operates independently of any other supervision. This individual will provide quality assurance oversight throughout the facility through assessment of procedures, deviations, and implementation of corrective actions. This position will also include oversight of equipment maintenance, maintenance logs, and new equipment validation/calibration.

This position is also responsible for document creation and management, training, summary/corrective action reports and evaluation of regulatory climate (FDA, ISO, EPA, OSHA).

The individual chosen for this position must have excellent analytical, written and verbal skills. Desirable skills would be successful customer/employee interaction, a high sense of urgency, word processing, spread sheet and data base proficiency (MS Access, Filemaker Pro &/or SQL). Also, would assist HR in recruiting, training, coaching, performance appraisals and policy compliance in an ever growing regulatory environment. Increasing the awareness level of line operators is a mission critical task of the enterprise.

Company is currently pursuing ISO 9000 certification. This position would include oversight of that effort to its successful conclusion.

Ideal candidate would possess previous print and/or pharma experience, BS in associated field and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position.

Annual compensation is dependent on experience and education.
