Quality Assurance Director

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, is responsible for recovering and distributing organ and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants.

As Quality Assurance Director (CQI), you will evaluate clinical work systems and recommend actions aimed at improving efficiency, effectiveness and regulatory compliance; oversee initiatives to comply with FDA’s ’Good Tissue Practices’; motivate staff in the adoption of a corporate culture driven to achieve excellence through continuous quality improvement; assist the Vice President of Clinical Services in achieving and maintaining regulatory standards and accreditation; complete and submit data required by regulatory and accreditation organizations (Department of Health, AOPO, UNOS, HCFA, AATB, FDA, EBAA, etc.); participate in and conduct internal and external audits to maintain regulatory and voluntary accreditation; coordinate the collection and interpretation of data related to process improvement; establish quality indicators and develop trend analysis of clinical division performance; coordinate continuous quality improvement teams and educate staff on quality improvement processes; assist in review, creation, update and maintenance of organ/tissue and quality systems policy and procedure manuals; participate in strategic planning process as it relates to quality system processes; monitor progress and completion of goals related to quality systems; works with clinical division staff and management to identify areas where services and processes can be improved; suggest and implement corrective action plans; work with organ/tissue staff in the field to assess processes, monitor improvement plans and monitor staff in new process and procedure; collaborate with the Vice President, Clinical Services and other clinical division management in the implementation of an overall QA/QI system for GLDP.

 

Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years quality improvement experience in a health care, pharmaceutical, research or comparable environment. Clinical education and experience preferred.
