QUALITY CONTROL ASSOCIATE

1. Accurately and efficiently perform and document testing on raw materials/finished goods to determine product quality and approve it for sale.
2. Maintain and update technical files and product specifications to provide an informational resource which is current.
3. Perform and document lab maintenance duties to ensure a quality and safe operation.
4. Perform and document methods development/equipment evaluation to improve laboratory performance.
5. Work as a team member with internal departments to efficiently release product, resolve problems and support sales. Flexibly adapt to changing demands to satisfy external and internal customer needs.
6. Review and approve QC test results.
7. Perform assay troubleshooting/product investigations.
8. Assist in the training of laboratory personnel on test methods and equipment.
9. Responsible for instrument upkeep and maintenance


The impact of errors on the organization would be minor to significant.
SCOPE:

Handling/fingering dexterity for lab equipment manipulation

REQUIREMENTS



Bachelor's degree in a Life Science and 2-5 years of lab experience. Basic knowledge of mathmetics and chemistry acquired through college level courses and previous laboratory research experience. Exposure to principles of Quality Control/Quality Assurance.
