Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a research associate with previous purification experience to work in partnership with a vaccine development company in the Raleigh/Durham area. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. The selected individual will work with a drug discovery and development team in the production-scale, GMP, Vaccine Development facility. Requirements include purification, GMP (cGMP), and experimental batching experience. Delta V experience is a definite plus!Responsibilities include: - Equipment and automation refinement - Specification adjustment - Technical writing- Bench testing (spectrophotometer, pH meter) - Microbial/gram staining Experience with the following process equipment preferred:- Fixed and portable vessels- CIP, SIP and cleaning verification operations- Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (UF/DF) skids- Chromatography column skidThe incumbent must be able to recognize unique differences among multiple vaccine antigen candidate processes and contribute to the scientific team. This is currently a 6 mo contract position with rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). Shift differentials are included. Excellent performance may lead to long-term opportunities. Experience: Qualified candidates will have a B.S. or M.S. in Biology or related field, plus 2+ years purification and GMP experience.
