Project Support Engineer WSB

Framingham/Worcester, MA Manufacturing/Production/Operations Job SummaryDescription: This position is responsible for providing technical support to Project Managers to ensure documentation and financial project close out responsibilities are completed in agreement with AZ standards and procedures. The position is also responsible for maintaining systems such as SAP IM and other management tools for the group. Major Responsibilities:· Act as Project Engineer on projects of nominal scope & complexity · Manage Project Turnover process to ensuring technical documentation required is identified at sanction and handed over prior to project closure · Own Project Turnover & Project Closure Procedures and support associated improvements · Assist Project Managers in the preparation of asset documentation such as Equipment Processing Forms, Lock Out Tag Out Equipment checklist, Equipment Spare part Assessment, · Ensure all site systems including calibration, Equipment Preventative Maintenance procedures, Lock Out Tag Out Equipment checklists and SOPs have been developed in support of the projects · Ensure asset numbering and asset write-offs are performed as appropriate at e-IP submission and project closure stages · Manage Project Closure process ensuring NPC submitted to ensure timely and accurate project close out · Expedite vendor invoices to allow timely financial closure of projects · Provide as needed assistance for Project Managers in scope development, cost estimating, construction support and equipment start up · Update as built Drawings · Follow up on Drawing Update Plan process to support projects to ensure timely update of Site Drawings · Maintain Site Capital Plan information on SAP IM and ensure consistency with group managements tools · Assist in preparation of Cash Flow Analysis for Capital Projects · Track Project Risk Assessments across the portfolio in conjunction with SHE · Work with Project Managers & Maintain data for Group Management Tools - Project Portfolio Tracker, Group Scorecard, Group KPIs, Resource Histograms · Set up Electronic Project Folder on shared drive/e-room for use throughout project life cycle · Archive documentation/folders to AZ Standard/Procedures at project closureResponsibilitiesMinimum Requirements · BS in Engineering discipline or AS Degree/technical certification plus 10 years experience in an engineering environment · Knowledgeable of CAD. · Strong oral and written communication skills · Computer literate with good command of Word, Excel, Databases · Knowledgeable of cGLP, cGMP design, commissioning and validation documentation.
