Offering expertise in the areas of Process Improvement, Marketing & Sales, Research & Development, Technical Operations, Supply Chain Management and Shared Services, Project Managers will assume ownership and manage projects through the entire project lifecycle. You will focus your efforts on strategy development and implementation, organizational design and improving performance along the entire value chain. Based at Bayer’s North American headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA, our Project Managers will lead a variety of management consulting projects across multiple disciplines and business units. Based on your experience and qualifications, you will immediately be entrusted with projects of strategic importance within the Bayer Business Groups, domestically and/or abroad. Your team of internal/external consultants and customer representatives will have direct access to the leadership team within the assigned business unit(s). Your consulting expertise will play an integral role in developing and sharing proven consultancy methods and tools to help shape our growing Business Consulting organization. You will be provided with extensive training in Bayer’s consulting methods and tools as part of our structured personnel development program. At the same time, your efforts will pave the way for a subsequent career path at Bayer while benefiting from a wide range of systemic personnel development opportunities. ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of this role is to assume ownership and manage projects through the entire project lifecycle. You will focus your efforts on strategy development and implementation, organizational design and improving performance along the entire value chain. The incumbent will: - Lead projects with sole responsibility for finalizing complex work streams for projects on a global scale for all Bayer operating units and service groups with: - High strategic relevance - High complexity; affecting more than one region or globally - Large team size - Responsibility for project concept, procedure and client recommendations - Typical project focus will include: management consulting, strategy consulting and implementation, organizational consulting and process optimization, professional project management - Maintain a highly visible and active role in the development of at least one practice area in the Business Consulting Unit - Provide support role in the marketing of Business Consulting services within the Bayer Business Groups Qualifications - Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Life Sciences, Engineering or related field with at least 5 years experience or Doctorate with a minimum of 3 years experience. - Minimum of 3 years in management and/or business consulting experience within a leading consulting organization - A strong understanding of general business processes (accounting, finance, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain etc.) is required - Strong leadership and influencing competencies are a must as is the ability to deal with senior client management in often difficult and complex situations - Excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively partner with stakeholders to arrive at solutions to what are often complex and multi-faceted projects - Concentrated project management skills are required in order to operate a professional virtual organization while directing a myriad of project related activities directly under your control - Demonstrate excellence in both oral and written communication skills - Possess outstanding analytical, conceptual and implementation skills, initiative, persuasiveness and a strong team spirit - Proven expertise in a highly customer focused environment coupled with an entrepreneurial attitude to deliver cost effective, value-added solutions. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required Preferred Qualifications - International/Global work experience - Prior employment with a leading consultancyBayer Benefits We offer a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefit programs.
