Project Manager - Pipeline & Portfolio Management - (Job Number: 0808189) DescriptionEthicon, Inc., a member of Johnson && Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Project Manager - Pipeline && Portfolio Management, located in Somerville, NJ. ETHICON, INC., develops and markets products for surgery, wound management and advanced wound care treatment. Products are marketed through four divisions: ETHICON® Products for precise wound closure and tissue repair; CARDIOVATIONS® for minimally invasive cardiac procedures; GYNECARE® for minimally invasive women's health procedures; and Johnson && Johnson Wound Management for hemostasis and advanced wound care. The Project Manager - Pipeline && Portfolio Management will support the execution of product development projects through the ETHICON development pipeline to meet both business unit and ETHICON Franchise objectives, provide critical support to R&&D leaders in the management of the pipeline for the franchise, be responsible for the optimal use of the New Product Development process and associated tools, and provide support and recommendations towards the design, development and deployment of standard Portfolio, Resource and Project Management processes/systems across the Franchise. Will also monitor new product pipeline throughput with a focus on business results and provide communications to R&&D VPs and business unit presidents regarding pipeline execution progress, identify and resolve issues, support and facilitate project teams, and track process and performance measures associated with new product development. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline is required. An MBA is highly desired. A minimum of 5+ years of related industry experience is required, with experience including multiple aspects of product development an asset. Experience or knowledge in the area of Process Excellence (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) is an asset. Demonstrated strong project leadership is required. Multi-project management skills experience is required. Strong communication skill, both written and oral, are required. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required depending on project needs.
