Due to our extended growth, we currently have a need for the following position:Primary Role:Responsible for managing and coordinating all activities for Hunter Syndrome Outcome Surveys and Fabry Disease Outcome Surveys (and other OS as necessary) in assigned territory Responsibilities: Together with the Associate Director, create and implement a strategy for OS in assigned territory. Ensure that regional activities in support of Global Regulatory Objectives/Commitments are properly prioritized. Together with the Associate Director, coordinate and manage activities for OS in assigned region, such as: o Regional Board Meetings o Regional Investigator?s Meeting o Working Groups o Production of training material Encourage active participation and involvement of OS physicians in the regions. Together with MSLs (in assigned region) and the Associate Director, identify and develop new OS centers and KOLs Establish objectives for data completion for the OS Centers in the Region Assist and coordinate submission of manuscripts and abstracts with OS data to congresses and peer-reviewed journals in the Region Work closely with AD and CRA in oversight of clinical studies utilizing OS database In close relationship with the CRA and OS Data Manager, ensure high quality and completeness of the data. Oversee lab testing/reporting for all customers in an effort to increase awareness of OS Stay current with developments in Fabry Disease, Hunter Syndrome, and other diseases as needed Shire is committed to providing high quality, competitive, and appropriate health care benefits for employees and their families.Shire is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.Requirements: Education & Experience Requirements:A background with demonstrated success in project management, experience from clinical research and demonstrated close relation with marketing from the pharmaceutical industry Experience managing GCP studies (both clinical and post-market) Experience with observational databases preferred Bachelor of Science required, preferably in bioscience Strong Organizational, IT and writing skills, as well as strong attention to detail Experience in building relationships with physicians/centers, in particular KOLs Experience in managing external expert groups Key Skills and Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with customers and colleagues at all levels throughout the organization.Ability to understand clients? needs and as well as the ability to appropriately communicate their wishes to the project team to ensure they are implemented (as appropriate) into the application in a functional and user-friendly wayFlexible, highly motivated to manage projects independently Ability to motivate, stimulate, and communicate across cross-functional groups Ability to inspire co-workers to achieve high standards by leading through example and maintaining a very ?team-oriented? approach Extremely results-oriented Ability to deal with an evolving and change-oriented environment, highly flexible Apply to Shire
