Project Manager IClinical ResearchJersey City, NJSummaryAssist the Project Team Leader in leading project teams (could involve teams with multiple indications) to ensure optimal decision making and commercialization. Assist in communication / facilitation within the Forest project team / team membersDuties and Responsibilities-Assist in leading the process of developing integrated strategy and operational plan for projects together with team. -Optimize and track progress of project plans (time, resources) and ensure adherence to plan and strategy -Maintenance of Primavera or other Project Management tool to optimize and track progress of project plans (time, resources) and ensure adherence to plan -Aid in the identification of issues and assist in contingency planning -Contribute to resolving conflicts at project team level -Focus team on optimizing value, time, resources and risks -Assist in the consolidation of key project cross-functional information to Management such as FRI Weekly Reports. -Participate on sub-teams and facilitate communications to/from Corporate Project Team -Arrange meetings (involving Corporate Project Team members), prepare draft agendas and draft minutes of such meetings. -Coordinate quarterly LEs for budget planning and 5-year budget summary -Assure the appropriate planning is accurate for both Forest and partner sponsored studies for potential patent applications -Assure the appropriate production planning -Serve as a back-up to the Project Leader for dissemination of information to / from partner firms RequirementsEducation: BS degree in life sciences (Minimum) Experience: One to three years previous experience in project planning / coordination in a department within a Research and or Development organization. Experience in at least one stage of development (IND preparation, Phases I ¿ III, NDA preparation and/or Phase IV) is desired. Experience in project management software is required. Experience with contract research organizations and/or co-development partners / arrangements desired but not necessary. Licensure/Credentials: Courses from PMI, ESI, DIA in project management desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1.Good working knowledge of the drug development process. 2.Good knowledge of basic science. 3.Experience in electronic project management systems. 4.Good planning, able to see the big picture, well-organized, focussed on results, capable of managing multiple (2 to 3) projects with respect to priorities and self management. 5.Good analytical skills for integrating and interpreting interdisciplinary project information 6.Problem solving skills for developing creative solutions and for maintain project timelines. 7.Good oral/written communication skills, allowing effective interactions with internal management and corporate partners. 8.Ability to identify areas that need attention and to create resolution plans / action. 9.Knowledge of internation customs and business practices. 10.Critical and objective interpretation of scientific and commercial information.
