Project Manager (Contract & Pricing and Managed Markets)

OBJECTIVE: 
The Project Manager (Contracts & Pricing and Managed Markets) plans and manages team activities to assure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.  Oversees the work of analysts and is responsible for the performance management and recruitment processes.  The Project Manager (C&P and MM) leverages deep business and/or technology expertise and works closely with other groups to assure the total solution delivered to the customer meets/exceeds expectations.
 
ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
Responsible for the delivery of IT projects and the support of applications within area of responsibility.Assures projects follow all company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.Manages and develops team in area of responsibility including aspects of the company's performance management process.Manages the work of project based resources.Develops and manages relationships with key customers.Provides business consulting support to customers. Develops and reviews project budgets.  Accountable for performance against financial parameters and monitoring and reporting on projects within own area.Leverages deep understanding of business and/or technology to proactively identify and prioritize solutions that drive business value.Manages day to day interactions with vendors.Manages and resolves complex issues and escalates them appropriately. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: 
Minimum five years IT experience with Bachelors Degree, nine years IT experience with a High School diploma.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Minimum three years experience leading large, complex projects.Minimum three years experience working with business function(s).  Specific business knowledge and experience required will vary by position.  Examples include: Sales,Marketing, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Research & DevelopmentExperience directing a team supporting multiple projects and multiple applications across a variety of technology platforms.Experience with planning and managing all phases of systems development (e.g. requirements gathering, design, configuration, development, testing, conversion and application support)Extensive experience with SDLC methodology.Experience with computer systems validation process.Experience working with the Managed Markets and/or Contracts & Pricing Group desired.Understanding of Pharmaceutical Contract and pricing concepts (Chargebacks, rebates and Government Pricing) desired.Experience with the I-Many suite of applications desired.Experience with Forecasting and Planning concepts/tools desired.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional travel required. Must be able to drive or fly to various meetings.
