Project Accountant

The Project Accountant is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Accountant in all aspects of the finance function.

Responsibilities:
1.  Create and maintain project budgets.
2.  Invoice customers for services performed.
3.  Monitor accounts receivable and seek collection from customers.
4.  Prepare and make bank deposits.
5.  Responsible for the administration and consolidation of the Time collection system.
6.  All other duties as assigned

Technical Skills Required:
1.  A solid understanding of accounting.
2.  PC skills including knowledge of basic accounting software and Word.
3.  Advanced PC skills in Excel.

Education/Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in accounting, finance or related field.
Experience in Project Accounting Preferred.


Performance Required:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software*No 3rd party vendors please.
