We accomplish this mission through our people—a cadre of exceptionally talented individuals who genuinely care about improving patient outcomes, and who work together to develop leading-edge technology and services. The Program Manager generates project plans in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and oversees the Design History File.  This position will also be responsible for negotiating “project contractsâ€� with senior management for the project effort and managing the deliverable items.   Major Ongoing Responsibilities:· Leads core team members assigned by functional groups to define project tasks· Coordinates assigned tasks to achieve project goals· Ensures performance to technical specifications by scheduling formal design reviews· Ensures that all design review issues are resolved and reports archived in the DHF· Ensures that configuration management and change control processes are followed· Generates and distributes reports to communicate program status· Makes formal presentations to upper-management regarding project issues and status· Manages the overall project or program (related multiple projects)· Leads cross-functional core teams to achieve objectives for new product development· Sets personal and team goals, tracks progress and ensures they are met· Ensures the work performed on an assigned project meets quality, technical performance, schedule, cost, and overall customer satisfaction· Works closely with technical lead to assure product requirements including product standard cost, manufacturing yields, and Corporate and Divisional Operating Procedures are met · Engages in continuous improvement activities and provides feedback regarding processes across functional lines· Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status· Uses best business practices to ensure success in areas of responsibility· May have specific process development and portfolio management activities· Ensures employee compliance with St. Jude Medical and ANS policies Experience & Training:· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, related field, or equivalent· Typically a minimum of ten plus years of directly related experience showing progressive responsibility leading to a broad, multidisciplinary technical knowledge in the medical device industry· Significant expertise in one or more specialties as well as three plus years of supervisory/people management experience· Comprehensive experience in managing cross-functional program/project teams in the delivery of new products; formal training in Program/Project Management or Professional Certification is required· Skilled at delegation, follow-up, and team building with a history of being able to multi-task and meet multiple project schedules on time  · Demonstrated integrity and ability to work cooperatively and productively with others· Comprehensive evaluation skills, originality and ingenuity are musts.· Communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential· Ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies, and rules is required· Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, data base management and other relevant project management applications. Qualified candidates may apply online via our website at www.ans-medical.com/careers and reference position # ANS1242.  No agencies or phone calls, St. Jude Medical is an equal opportunity employer.
