Program Director - Custom Patient Instruments - (Job Number: 0802038) DescriptionDepuy, Inc., Inc., a member of Johnson && Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Program Director, located in Warsaw, IN. DePuy, Inc. develops and markets products under the DePuy Orthopedics, DePuy Spine, CODMAN and MITEK brands. DePuy Orthopedics and DePuy Trauma and Extremities provide products for reconstructing damaged or diseased joints, and for repairing and reconstructing traumatic skeletal injuries. DePuy Spine facilitates fusion of the spine and correction of spinal deformities, including CHARIT, the first artificial spinal disc. Codman provides for the surgical treatment of neurological and central nervous system disorders through products such as hydrocephalic shunt valve systems, implantable drug pumps and micro-surgical instrumentation. DePuy Mitek offers innovative devices in sports medicine for the treatment of soft tissue injuries. The Program Director will be responsible for establishing, driving and coordinating this program across the organization&'s functions and geographies and with third parties from technology development to full commercial launch. Key responsibilities will be the development of Program Charter including all key requirements and objectives across the technical and commercial spectrum. Development and maintenance of an integrated program and commercialization plan, including organization level milestones and stage / phase deliverables. Establishment of cost, performance, quality and other key specification objectives for services and products. Establishment and implementation with operations of a supply chain strategy to achieve these objectives. Develops management presentations and obtains budget and plan approvals for the program. Ensures the securing of necessary resource commitments for all sub-elements of the program. Establish and maintain a technology roadmap and multi-generational portfolio plan aligned with customer and organizational needs and expectations. Manages key internal and external stakeholder relations and buy-in in respect of the program across all relevant functions of the organization. Facilitates communication to stakeholders and all involved parties. Establishment of consistent program management process for prioritization, delegated responsibility, accountability, risk management, reporting and management of deviation for all sub-projects. Establish and structure the program team to optimize work groups and project management to meet objectives. Ensures appropriate plans, milestones and deliverables, budgets and resources are in place and agreed by key stakeholders for all sub projects and functions. Ensures timely updated forecasts of all plans. Oversees selection and appointment of services and resources to all sub-projects. Facilitates team meeting timetable and reporting to allow regular review, reporting && audits of program and sub-projects and agreed actions and responsibilities. Ensures clear identification of sub-project task completion. Resolves resource and other program conflicts. Maintains && facilitates reviews of the program risk register. Ensure adherence to specifications and standards within sub-projects. Organize transfer of accountability for the program at completion on release to full commercialization. Ensures appropriate management of key customers. Responsible for managing the program delivery to time, cost and quality requirements. Maintaining relationships with third party organizations, suppliers etc. Manages partner agreements and contracts. Ensures program documentation meets quality, regulatory and management needs. Ensures closure archiving of program records. A minimum of a Bachelor&'s degree in engineering or related technical discipline with at least 5-10 years experience in product or service development in a high tech regulated or FMCG environment is required. MBA is preferred. Must have Orthopaedics product experience. It&'s highly preferred to have a professional project management certification. Six Sigma Certification or other related Process Excellence Mythologies is highly preferred. Proven experience developing complex new product development programs with multi-disciplinary teams is required. Previous experienced in leading, driving and motivating multi-discipline, culturally diverse and trans global project teams are required. It&'s required to have supply chain and system infrastructure knowledge. Proven experience establishing and managing complex stakeholder interactions with senior functional management and leadership to obtain commitment and buy in to program objectives and allocation of resources is highly required.
