Production Technician

Production TechnicianIn this role you will perform any one or a combination of production line and material handling activities, in the manufacturing areas. This may include, but is not limited to, the operation of area production equipment, input data on batch orders, reports, etc. into a CRT. You will schedule tasks to meet production and maintenance needs as well as document lot changes, line clearances, calculations, numerical data, downtime and quality checks per work order instructions. Additionally, you will perform preventive maintenance duties, make repairs and modifications to production equipment, troubleshoot, check out and start up plant equipment.To be successful in this position, you must possess: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years accredited technical school Ability to pass technical skills test Capability to read, write and understand English Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Average mechanical skills with the ability to perform mechanical adjustments, minor troubleshooting and the use of power and hand-operated tools Capability to read schematic diagram fro equipment set up Ability to use tools such as, but not limited to, volt/amp meters, calipers and micrometers Knowledge of defect recognition and ability to pass annual written area requirements for area/job certification Ability to work overtime as requiredHospira offers a balanced work culture as well as competitive compensation and benefits.
