Manufacturing/Production/Operations       Total Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Job Description Lead multiple Production Technicians representing varied shifts and groups of employees in a manufacturing environment.Train and develop production workforce, including Shift Coordinators and Manufacturing Technicians.Supervises the daily production activities.Evaluates, recommends and specifies structural, procedural and equipment needs for capital projects.Supervise in a cGMP environment. Maintains operational compliance with US and international Regulatory Agencies (FDA, NRC, EMEA).Establishes, reviews and updates SOP’s to reflect manufacturing requirements.Evaluate and improves manufacturing processes utilizing Six Sigma tools to create improved product, yield of product and/or reproducibility of product.Evaluate are performance using production metric and scorecards. Will be a metric owner.Schedules and ensures manufacture of validation materials, experimental materials, commercial materials, etc.Demonstrate an ability to utilize technological resources (Process Engineers, Maintenance, Validation) to accomplish Production schedule. Execute Performance Qualification of process and equipment.Provide input on equipment installation, start up operation and trouble shooting.Provide scientific and technical support to resolve issues.Review and approves weekly/ monthly schedule/plan for departmental activities.Hold daily shift transition meetings and weekly staff meetings to update employees and track progress. Ensure appropriate communication on project-related matters with management. Instruct technicians daily to insure compliance with GMP process guide lines according to FDA.Author manufacturing investigation reports and support the investigation process.Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.Requirements: Minimum Requirements:Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a science discipline.. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience of teams greater than 10 technicians in a parental or biotech manufacturing facility. Experience with Isolator technology preferred. Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Skills/Competencies:Computer skills (MS Office); critical thinking; oral and written communications, decision-making skills.Effective communication skills in one-on-one and group situations. Ability to understand manufacturing processes, and to identify improvements. Skills to prepare written policies, procedures and reports. Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere. Ability to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.Able to work rotating shifts and extended hours as required.Willing and able to work near radiation sources.
