Production Planner

Senior / Master Production Planner

This position is responsible for generating and maintaining a master production plan in support of the company sales, customer service, and financial goals. This person will Initiate and implement action plans to prevent occurrence of problems which may delay timely scheduling and linearity of output and leads resolution

 

·  5+ years directly related experience in manufacturing planning, purchasing and expediting materials.  Previous experience as a Master Planner with a biotech/pharmaceutical company preferred.

·  Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in self directed team environment and to effectively lead meetings.

·  Knowledge of discrete processing operations.  Medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

·  Knowledge of inventory control practices.

·  Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

·  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

·  Good math skills including statistics.

·  Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and ERP based forecasting and planning systems.  SAP or JDE experience preferred.

·  Demonstrated advanced knowledge of LEAN or related JIT methodologies.

·  Demonstrated ability to function well under pressure and willingness to expend effort required to meet schedules/deadlines.
