Production Chemist
BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for San Diego's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Production Chemist to work for a leading San Diego-area biotechnology company.
The Production Chemist II typically requires a BA/BS in a scientific discipline or equivalent and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience.
A successful candidate should have a strong ability to work in a high paced production environment with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast paced production environment. Demonstrate technical proficiency. Work on problems of diverse scope for which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Key core competencies include excellent abilities with technical astuteness, adaptability, results orientation, superior quality, teamwork, independence, organizational skills, multi-tasking, attention to detail, communication and observation.
The Production Chemist will be trained and assume responsibility with plasma processing, plasma controls, urine controls, and calibrators in the Reagent Standards laboratory. In addition, the Production Chemist will perform various purification techniques with chromatography, value assignment testing, in-house software operation, data analysis, and inventory control.
Also the Production Chemist will have the following job challenges and responsibilities:Complete complex production tasks according to established procedures and management instructions. Generate document revisions, update critical databases, and prepare reports. Assist in process troubleshooting, validations, and improvement activities. Produce high quality, timely, and accurate results. Support process troubleshooting, validations, and improvement activities. Gain working knowledge of regulatory guidelines including QSR, ISO 13485, and CMDR. Be proficient in the use of JDEdwards and SmarTeam. Use knowledge in Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and safety protocols to ensure compliance.
