CELL CULTURE/MOLECULAR BIOLOGY ASSOCIATE

OVERVIEW:
Argos Therapeutics, Inc. produces personalized dendritic cell therapies. For each patient, a therapy is created using the patient’s own biological samples. This position is a combined Cell Culture and Molecular Biology position. This Associate would be responsible for isolating and amplifying nucleic acids using PCR methods and other molecular biology techniques from each patient sample as well as processing white blood cell collections from each patient to isolate monocytes, and culture these cells to generate the monocyte-derived dendritic cells. Subsequently, this Associate would be responsible for generating the key components for these personalized immunotherapies as well as producing the final drug product administered to subjects enrolled in our current Phase 2 clinical trials in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and HIV.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Cell Culture/Molecular Biology Associate is responsible for the production of clinical products in a GMP facility. This includes performing manual cell culture and molecular biology operations, operating and cleaning equipment, completing batch records, performing environmental monitoring, and maintaining a clean room environment. QUALIFICATIONS:
· Requires a Bachelors degree with industry experience in cell culture and aseptic technique as well as PCR and other molecular biology techniques.
· Good written and verbal communication skills required.
· Requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
· Flexibility with work schedules and duties required.
· Experience in a clean room environment and cGMP is ideal.
