Marketing responsibility for a product line of limited complexity. Responsible for the identification of market requirements, new product definition & commercialization, and product line management / marketing. Monitors product development including planning, manufacturing, packaging and distribution. Monitors product lines foropportunities to maximize profitability.Responds to customer and foreign/domestic subsidiary inquiries. Monitors and/or troubleshoots product performance with customers, sales reps and tech service. Provides direction to sales representatives (domestic and international) including positioning, sales tactics, competitive comparisons, & product features / benefits.Synthesizes marketing information and contributes to strategic planning process for justifying and developing new products. Interfaces with R&D to develop new products and expand applications of existing products. Implements new product launch plans including pricing, promotion, and sales training. Conducts training for customers and sales force. Provides support for trade shows. Provides input on instruction manuals and updates as well as product labels and packaging. Edit and/or prepare marketing material. Develop and implement annual marketing plans - to include pricing, positioning & promotional strategies - and annual revenue budget for assigned product lines. Conducts market research and competitive analysis. Advanced degree in a life science or clinical/technical related discipline and/or MBA, and minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent.2+ years product management experience: marketing collateral, product promotional plans, new product processes, product life cycle management.Requires a working knowledge of life science industry related products. Knowledge and abilities with marketing methodologies, concepts, practices and procedures. Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. Presentation and training skills. Ability to work on diversified assignments with moderate complexity. Requires ability to make decisions/judgments based on precedent and policy.
