About the job 

Join a talented product marketing team within Agilent Technologies Life Science Chemical Analysis, Stratagene Products Division as the Product Manager for PCR Instrumentation Systems. Work with team members to develop, evaluate, and commercialize new products. Design and implement marketing programs to help maximize the effectiveness of multiple sales channels worldwide.

Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate development of products through R&D, into Production, and onto market
- Develop product launch strategies and implement launch plans to effectively utilize all channels
- Establish product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
- Working with marketing communications professionals to develop programs, promotional materials, and supporting sales collateral
- Collaborate with field colleagues to ensure global efficacy of programs and align execution with regions
- Coordinate and develop marketing, sales, engineering, R&D, and financial plans for product line
- Identify and develop business partnering to broaden company's product line or establish new sales and marketing channels
- Drive the product/marketing message through all communication channels
- Participate in key sales situations for the product
- Manage financials for products, including sales revenue, cost, profit, marketing expense, and other product related expenses About you 

Requires:
- BS/MS degree in Molecular Biology or related field or equivalent; MBA highly desired.
- 3+ years experience in the marketing of life sciences/molecular biology products. Product Marketing of PCR/QPCR instrumentation or reagents is highly desired and sales experience is a plus.
- Track record of success in use of marketing skills and market knowledge to develop and commercialize products which result in successfully meeting revenue targets
- Must have technical knowledge of PCR, real-time PCR, gene expression analysis, or nucleic acid detection technologies
- Experience in working with global markets/customers is an advantage
- Must exhibit traits of teamwork, creativity, planning and organization, and flexibility
- Ability to work independently to plan, prioritize workload, schedule time, assess and solve problems
- Proficiency in pricing and forecasting
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong evidence of customer focus and customer advocacy
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and comfortable presenting to senior individuals both internally and externally.
- Must have flexibility in working hours and available for 25% business travel
