Position Location:     Carthage, Missouri

 

 

Primary Purpose of Position:

 

Help define and implement the company’s leading edge technology in converting waste-to-renewable oil.  Successful candidate will play an important role in helping the company deploy its proprietary technology in North America and Europe.  Candidate will assist engineering team by completing assignments relating to its commercial demonstration plant in Carthage, Missouri.  These assignments will include: material and energy balances, preparation of up-to-date documentation of Process Flow and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, unit process definition, next generation equipment selection, and other process related assignments as required.  Further general activities in addition to the specific assignment of documenting the commercial process at Carthage are the review of operating conditions, process controls and laboratory analyses to maximize efficiencies; identify key process parameters and targets, recommend process improvements and participate in plant quality process improvement; monitor equipment operation and maintenance requirements for key process equipment; collect and evaluate process data for special plant studies and test projects. 

 

 

Qualifications Desired:

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

·         1-4 years experience preferably in the chemical/petrochemical plant design and construction.

·         Experience with material and energy balances, process flow and process and instrumentation diagram development required.

·         Sound reasoning ability, high level of self-initiative, strong desire to acquire new knowledge and skills through self-study of Company standards and design methods.

·         Specific experience with bulk material handling and combined solid/liquid/gas phase reactor design is an important advantage to a candidate’s consideration. 

·         Experience with CAD programs preferred (AutoCAD 2006 used at facility presently).
