Prialt Sales Training Manager

Primary Objective of Position:
Works closely with Elan Sales Leadership and Marketing Leadership to identify and address Prialt team training and development needs to meet business objectives. While doing so, operates within an annual budget target.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for developing and implementing effective training solutions and organization effectiveness expertise for the corporation (selling skills programs, product and disease state training, and management development programs.)
· Cooperates with Human Resources to develop and implement employee development programs to support the corporation’s business objectives.
· Provides direction to divisional National Sales Trainers consistent with organizational goals.
· Insures cost-effective training programs by utilizing alternative mediums where appropriate, ie. DVD, e-learning, webcasting etc.
· Partners and manages relationships with internal resources, consultants and providers of development programs to provide optimal learning opportunities.
· Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with vendors.
· Responsible for coordinating with Sales and Marketing Leadership to develop and execute sales training programs and systems at sales meetings.
· Coaches and develops National Sales Trainers.
· Communicates with Sales and Marketing Leadership Teams on a regular basis.
· Provides quarterly development assessments for National Sales Trainers based on professional goals.
· Plans,develops, and implements effective In-Field Training Programs and systems.
· Responsible for development and implementation of annual budget supporting product and disease state tranining, selling skills programs and management development programs.
· Experience working with and managing vendors to develop and produce training materials.
· Responsible for the coordination and approval of materials through Elan's Legal,.Medical and Regulatory channels.
· Familiar with training modalities for on-label promotion and educational discussion.
· Exemplary multi-tasking skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required.Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing training initiatives across multiple organizations.Demonstrated success in rapidly facilitating consensus among diverse groups (marketing, medical, sales, legal, and regulatory).Track record of successful implementation/execution with objective measure.Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.Minimum of 2 years experience in the areas of training and employee development required.Minimum of 2 years management experience within sales training requiredMust possess knowledge of learning methodologies and be familiar with a broad range of learning programsSuccessful sales experience required with a preference of sales management.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-business unit collaboration to support corporate strategies with appropriate training and development activitiesExcellent interpersonal presentation and communication skills required.Superior skill in presenting training materials, adapting materials from external sources, writing new materials and organizing/scheduling training required.Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and manage an annual department budget.
