With a deep and broad pipeline of potential new medicines, we continue to advance science to serve patients.• We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Toxicology group in AWA. • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting non-GLP studies as well as monitoring GLP studies at CROs.• Seeking a highly motivated individual that will think “outside of the box” and will bring new ideas and perspectives on how to improve processes and efficiencies. • The candidate that we are looking for should be able to work independently, meet established timelines, and adapt to changing priorities.• A Bachelor's degree in Biology or a Life Science discipline. • A minimum of 3 years of study coordinating/study directing experience; or a Master's degree in Toxicology or additional Life Science discipline. • Must have experience analyzing, reviewing and interpreting study data.• Strong ability to maintain and meet study and reporting timelines.• Must be able to collaborate with multiple functional areas (in-house and at CROs) to integrate and generate scientific reports.• Experience with GLP guidelines.Preferred Qualifications:• Toxicology study experience preferred. • Strong communication skills are critical.• Strong presentation skills and writing skills.• The ability to work independently in a highly matrixed team-oriented organization, have strong interpersonal, problem solving, and scientific skills and should be highly organized.• Strong project management skills.Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 15% Amgen is the leading human therapeutics company in the biotechnology industry.
