Manufacturing/Production/Operations Reference Code: 709944 Polish Operator I, 3rd Shift (1 of 2) - (Job Number: 0809131) DescriptionDePuy, Inc., a member of Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Polish Operator I, 3 rd Shift, located in Raynham, MA DePuy, Inc. develops and markets products under the DePuy Orthopaedics, DePuy Spine, Codman® and Mitek® brands. DePuy Orthopaedics and DePuy Trauma and Extremities provide products for reconstructing damaged or diseased joints and for repairing and reconstructing traumatic skeletal injuries. DePuy Spine facilitates fusion of the spine and correction of spinal deformities, including Charite™, the first artificial spinal disc. Codman provides for the surgical treatment of neurological and central nervous system disorders through products such as hydrocephalic shunt valve systems, implantable drug pumps and micro-surgical instrumentation. DePuy Mitek offers innovative devices in sports medicine for the treatment of soft tissue injuries. The Polish Operator I will perform basic manual grinding and buffing, processing work to a finish stage according to blueprints and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), with minimal training or supervision. He/She will operate robotic equipment. Reads blueprints to check for product codes and dimensions. Performs visual and dimensional product inspection using drop indicators, venires, gages and related equipment and ensure all documentation is completed properly. The Polish Operator will observes safe operating procedures as described in the Job Safety Analysis.(JSA). Completes 2 nd operator approval on all cell work. Suggest new ideas to improve the department and actively participates in cell initiatives to achieve departmental goals. He/She will work in a team environment, utilizing lean principles and actively participate in team improvement efforts. Utilize team metrics to monitor performance, manage daily activities, and prioritize and track team improvement efforts. A minimum of a High school graduate or general education degree (GED) is required. Vocational designation or training in preferred. Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerance dimensions is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of relevant grinding or buffing experience is preferred. Prior inspection experience is required. Experience with measuring devices is preferred. Experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a GMP environment is preferred. Basic computer skills are required. He/she will be required to consistently meet or exceed job requirements for quality, quantity, and continuous improvement, and a willingness to help others achieve team goals. Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment, including the ability to read, write, and speak English is required. Demonstrated ability to comprehend work assigned and be able to work independently is required. Ability to follow all safety requirements is required. This position will require the candidate to stand for over 50% of the time. This position is a 3 rd shift position (9:30pm to 6am, Sunday through Thursday) with overtime, as need, is required.
