Pharmaceutical Senior Buyer
The Senior Buyer will be responsible to procure raw materials and packaging components and ensure optimum quality, price and service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Manage the purchasing of components, raw material and packaging components.Thorough knowledge of planning and tight coordination to meet planning deadline. Perform a variety of administrative functions necessay to ensure that materials are obtained from suppliers in accordance with company defined parameters. Responsible for selecting and negotiating with approved vendor to place purchase order in response to product requirement, and conduct vendor behavior analysis. Negotiate price, delivery and quality issue. Resolve discrepancies by comparing purchase order to delivery documentation; obtaining credits and refunds. Monitor and manage inventory levels for specific materials, identifying techniques to maintain desired inventory levels and minimize surplus/obsolete materials. Responsible for the preparation of purchase orders, including pricing verification Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to support AccuMed Inc. business objectives.Supervise Jr. Buyer.
Requirements:
Previous experience in pharmaceutical/chemical or related manufacturing industry. Experience in ERP systems, oracle, JD Edwards preferably SAp and MRP II.Minimum 5 years buying experience in related industryFamiliarity with inventory control, expediting and production concepts and processes. Organize daily work, work independently and be self motivated. Good verbal and written skills.
