Pharmaceutical Patent Expert

One of the fastest-growing generic pharmaceutical companies in the country, recently acquired by an organization that plans on bringing this already successful company (over 100 different products) to market at five times its present value, is searching for a Patent Specialist to join their promising team.  The ideal candidate must have strong, “hands-on” experience in the laboratory as well as in law/legal processes.   The objectives for this position are as follows:

 Ensure that ALL patents which are related to internal/external portfolio are thoroughly researched Provide advice on infringement avoidance and potential opportunities for early entry Setting up relevant database search facilities within the organization to allow research on  all relevant patents for the portfolio Provide advice to the formulation teams on how to avoid infringement in given developments Identify potential Para IV opportunities and/or early entry opportunities Assist in setting up product strategy for the company

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 A minimum of a BS Degree in Chemistry/Pharmacy/related sciences JD – specializing in patents/ IP may also be consideredA minimum of 3 yrs. of patent experience in generic pharmaceutical environment
