Payroll Administrator - Financial/banking IMMEDIATE!!!
ITGMG Staffing is currrently working on staffing a prestigious bank located in the heart of Manhattan.
The bank offers excellent benefits, opportunity for growth and a friendly environment with only approximately 200 employees. This gives you the opportunity to learn as you conduct your HR Payroll experience. The bank would like someone who has worked in a human resource department for a minimum of 3 years. APD - (PCPW ) HRIS - eTime
Recent college graduates without fulltime working experience will not be considered; bank is in need of minimum of real time skill sets and unable to train due to size.
Duties pertaining to role on the HIPAA Privacy Team -
Â
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Process enrollment, changes, terminations of coverage and payment concurrent with participation, claims experience, and administration charges.
*         Perform all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance, and adherence to organization policies and procedures covering the privacy, access, and patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organizations’ information privacy practices.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Work as part of the privacy team to ensure that the organization has and maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality consent, authorization forms, and information notices and materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Adhere to corporate privacy policies and procedures for the handling of protected health information.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Serve as a backup to the Senior Benefits Administrator/Compensation Specialist pertaining to Personal Health Information.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Complete Short Term Disability applications.

Duties NOT pertaining to role on the HIPAA Privacy Team -
Â
*        Process the payroll, including the computation and distribution of payroll, the payment of employment taxes and the distribution of Form W-2’s; process unemployment insurance claims.
*        Maintain the Bank’s employee payroll file, which includes data on salary rates, payroll deductions for taxes and insurance, etc.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ensure the payroll accurately reflects changes due to merit increases, overtime, absences, incentive pay, etc.
*        Ensure the Bank’s compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and applicable state and local laws and regulations.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Review time worked and absences entered into the electronic timekeeping system, and ensure information transfers to payroll.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepare and approve journal entries for cost allocations for benefits and payroll related activities.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Reconcile general ledger accounts for benefits and payroll expenses.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Process Incentive Compensation Plan payments at the end of plan year.
*        Monitor payroll account for outstanding checks.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepare bi-weekly thrift report and loan repayment report; reconcile reports to payroll; monitor year-to-date 401(k) contributions and advise employees who are reaching the maximum limits.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepare monthly Non-Qualified Plan journal entries.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Perform Non-Qualified reconcilement against payroll, Accounting and RSG on a quarterly basis.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepare Non-Qualified Plan quarterly earnings/losses journal entries to Accounting. Distribute the quarterly earnings/losses statements to the plan participants.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Input employee information into HR Perspective.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Process thrift loans and respond to employee questions regarding loans.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Process 401(k) and Retirement enrollment and termination forms
*        Respond to employees’ inquiries on various benefit plans and understand how these plans impact payroll.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Respond to employment verification requests.
        Create anniversary letters.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Keep track of Intern hours (not to reach 1000 hour limit) and notify the HRÂ Â Â Team of the number of hours worked by interns on a bi-weekly basis.

*        Bachelor’s degree preferred; payroll certification a plus.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Good with numbers, general clerical background; detail oriented.
*Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Must have strong Excel, analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments.
*        Three to five years’ experience in a medium to large office environment; processing payroll through ADP preferred.
