Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:This position is primarily responsible for all functions related to the accurate processing of payrolls for the Ferndale Pharma Group, Inc.  This includes, but is not limited to, updating and processing Time Bank requests, monitoring time clocks and compliance with time and attendance policies.  This position is also responsible for logging, tracking and processing Workers Compensation claims.  Excellent Customer Service skills are required to effectively serve internal and external customers.  Must be reliable, flexible, and able to appropriately use authority to make decisions to provide successful transactions and satisfy customers.  We keep our word, and we work every day until our obligations are complete; this may sometime result in overtime. Essential Functions: Prepare and process the weekly payroll for all designated corporate divisions in accordance with government and company policies, procedures and regulations Responsible for and/or oversight of benefit transaction flowing to the payroll program from Human Resources.  Examples include; new hire, benefit deductions, salary changes/increases, leaves of absence, status changes, etc. Responsible for preparation of standard and unique reports utilizing data from the Payroll system as scheduled and/or requested Maintains all payroll and Worker’s Compensation records in compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines Assigns employee ID numbers for all divisions Responsible for payroll tax applications as required Responsible for corporate oversight of all separate divisional payrolls to insure accuracy and compliance Responsible for set-up and maintenance of employee work schedules in the timekeeping system Responsible for processing tuition reimbursementsAdditional Responsibilities: May be required to complete requests for employee salary verifications from financial, social service agencies and employee requests as needed May assist in the completion of Unemployment claims filing Assists in the coordination of data necessary for annual employee benefit statements May assist in other auditing functions Responsible for other administrative duties as needed or assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must possess the ability to manage projects and processes.  Excellent customer service, problem solving and analytical skills are required as well as the ability to provide clear, consistent communication verbally and in writing.  Working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing payroll is necessary.  This position requires the individual to maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.  Education/Experience:Requires specialized training in payroll and/or accounting with a minimum of 3-5 years experience.
