ICON Clinical Research is dedicated to providing the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries with exceptional clinical research and biometrics services. The primary responsibility for this role is the review & management of sponsor contracts and to advise on all ancillary legal matters. The successful candidate will liaise with Account Executives/Contract Analysts in arranging for Letters of Intents and also liaise with the Senior Director and team in Dublin, Ireland on a regular basis to triage and prioritize work load and be informed of any policy updates. You will review contracts & circulate internally for comments, update contracts based on comments and issue contracts to Contract Analyst/client; attend teleconferences or meetings with Contract Analysts and/or clients to finalise terms; be responsible for weekly reporting on current workload; review subcontracts, circulate internally for comments, update based on comments and issue to PM or to client (if necessary, conduct a teleconference or meeting with Project Manager or client to finalize terms and arrange for execution & exchange); review stand alone indemnities whether for Australian sites or legal representation and review CDAs & other ancillary contracts; respond to any legal queries raised by any member of ICON staff (Contracts and Change Orders in particular); review and circulate Master Services Agreements internally for comments, update based on comments and issue to client (conduct teleconferences/meetings with Contract Analysts and/or client to finalise terms); undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time. The qualified candidate will be a Paralegal (or similar qualification) with two years' experience (prior commercial contract review and negotiation is essential). You will be self-motivated; pragmatic with a proactive approach to your duties; have a solutions-based approach to your work; possess effective communication skills both internally and externally of the organization; strong interpersonal skills; working knowledge of MS software applications and the ability to travel on an ad hoc basis (may require travel to Ireland/Europe for training and team related matters).
