Sales/Retail/Business Development Reference Code: 710355 Pacific South - Key Account Manager - Tibotec Therapeutics - (Job Number: 0809333) Description Tibotec Therapeutics, a division of Ortho Biotech Products, L.P., a member of Johnson && Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Key Account Manager in the Southern California region. The Key Account Manager (KAM) is a field sales representative who executes Tibotec Therapeutics-Virology sales strategies selling Tibotec Therapeutic product large institutions such as large university or teaching hospitals. Provides information on company products to opinion leaders, key academic centers and professional organizations within the United States and facilitates the transfer of knowledge from these thought leaders to other physicians and groups through extensive field work involving on label clinical and technical presentations. They must be able to demonstrate a mastery of the products clinical efficacy, articulate a value proposition for the customer, provide product support/ information as needed, and achieve their sales quota. Must be acknowledged expert on products and their related markets in all areas relevant to internal and external customers: such as, clinical, technical and health economics. Serve as a scientific and information support resource for commercial organizations in the United States. This may include direct support of field sales efforts with physicians, administrators or payors and other health care professionals. Perform market development activities for new products and indications within approved product label.Deliver product message and develop methods of communication for existing and future products and indications; i.e., to help translate science into marketing initiatives. Work with sales and marketing to attend and review major medical symposia and conferences (including but not limited to: CROI, ICAAC, IDSA, IAS, Resistance workshops and World AIDS). Provide timely, detailed review of industry-sponsored trials and other clinical studies to marketing and sales training. Build advocacy for company's existing and future products among national, regional and local thought leaders of various targeted healthcare professionals, including physicians, key health care systems, academic centers, professional organizations, patient advocacy groups, hospital administrators and payors. Must be able to develop relationships within the physician hierarchy, key pharmacy personnel, clinical nursing staff, etc. This role also requires clinical skills relevant to studies and disease states in order to engage in meaningful dialogue with clinicians. They must understand short-and long-term sales potential relevant to percentage of patients treated, patient mix, managed care contracts, ADAP, Medicare and Medicaid, and new protocols or new treatment modalities that impact business potential. Partner with District Leadership Teams to meet business needs and facilitate product pull through.Work with District Managers to help build clinical skills, disease state knowledge and product training for field personnel. Provide business intelligence to the Director of Key Accounts (e.g. assessing risks and opportunities, improving District strategy, spotting emerging key opinion leaders) Willingness to travel (50% of time). BS/BA required; Advanced Degree preferred; minimum of 3 years HIV/AIDS disease-related sales experience and managers support for position. Pharmaceutical and broader healthcare business knowledge preferred. Consistent demonstration and modeling of the Tibotec/J&&J behaviors and values.Ability to work on multiple tasks and effectively prioritizes work. Ability to establish relationships with key opinion leaders (including ACTG).Understanding of clinical issues, i.e. Clinical development programs, investigational studies including industry sponsored, ACTG, PACTG, CPCRA and others. Demonstrated communication, planning and technical writing skills. Demonstrated track record of producing outstanding results in a functional group or commercial operations.
