PROGRAM MANAGER: SALES TRAINING, AND MEDICAL EDUCATION
Program Manager, Sales training and Medical Education Requirements: SUMMARY Provide expert consultation, analysis, facilitation, research, and project management in all areas related to the education, training and development of the Biomet Sales Force. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Work with the management of the Orthopaedic Skills Academy and Sales Department, as well as Product Marketing and Product Development to develop a strategic continuing education plan that identifies the training and development needs of specific groups associated with the company and translate such into an executable array of continuing education programs that benefit the company and clinicians. • Create, implement and administer all current and future orthopedic, sports medicine and biologic sales training programs to include, but not limited to: Sales force curriculum building, online Learning System, Basic Sales Training I & II, Advanced Sales Education, Senior Certification Courses, Corporate Cultivation Courses and the Biomet Sales Meeting. • Conduct and/or broker the delivery of training programs from a variety of resources; research, evaluate and select outside consultants and trainers to meet training needs as appropriate. • Coordinate sales-force training curriculums for all new product launches. • Formalize and develop an orientation program and curriculum for corporate employees that will participate in the sales training process. • Monitor and conduct in-territory field sales training and provide written evaluations. • Coordinate existing training programs and provide consultation to Biomet Distributors and Sales Representatives for development of on-the-job training. • Lead the continuing development efforts of the Learning Management System. • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training and development programs. • Maintain high level of product knowledge, as well as the medical community’s use of those products. • Develop methods, procedures and systems to support learning initiatives and records maintenance for the Biomet Sales Force. • Keep informed of new training methods, techniques of competitors, and pending introduction of new company products to ensure current and effective training programs for sales personnel. • Manage outside vendors and budget to ensure the development of quality educational materials. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) from four-year college or university and minimum of four years work experience in orthopedics, education or marketing – specifically in the development, planning, design and delivery of educational materials/programs in a teaching environment. Master’s degree (M.A) in Instructional Design, Training and Development or Adult Education preferred.
