PM/Sr. Product Management, CML & GIST Alliances

We're part of a team that's making a difference in the quality of people's lives.Think What's Possible.As Product Manager/Sr. Product Manager CML and GIST Alliances, you will work as a key member of the Gleevec/Tasigna Brand Team on important strategic initiatives focused on demonstrating Novartis Oncology's leadership and commitment to the optimal management of CML and GIST. Specifically you will work with other brand team members, support functions, and field-based team members to execute tactical initiatives for the CML Alliance (www.cmlalliance.com) and help execute the launch of the new GIST Alliance platform. As well, your input and support for the implementation of additional franchise oriented strategic initiatives will be key to the future, continued success of our team.The successful candidate will bring the appropriate set of previous experience, skills, and potential in order to contribute to the development and execution of the Alliances tactical initiatives. This position demands extensive interactions with various internal and external stakeholders and other external collaborators. As a result, demonstration of good organizational skills, ability to quickly get up to speed in a challenging disease area, previous experience effectively working with and managing vendors and agencies, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills will be critical. The candidate will routinely work closely with other Gleevec and Tasigna brand team members as well as internal support functions including marketing communications, e-business, sales training, market research, regulatory, medical, and legal to ensure effective execution of key programs.QualificationsBusiness and/or science background is required. An MBA with a focus in marketing or/and experience of managed care distribution systems is desirable but not required. The ideal candidate should have a thorough knowledge of product management and/or significant experience in either sales, sales management, advertising or marketing research. Individual must possess excellent communication skills including strong presentation skills; excellent project management expertise, the ability to bridge marketing and science and the ability to manage a heavy workload common to a priority brand.
