PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY/COMPLIANCE/Western Philadelphia suburbs

A public biopharma company seeks a lawyer with 7+ years of experience to assume the position of Associate General Counsel—Compliance.  Reporting to the General Counsel, this lawyer will have a significant responsibility for providing legal support to the company’s commercial activities and managing a broad range of critical responsibilities relating to compliance and FDA matters, including: (1) advising on pharmaceutical sales force and marketing compliance issues; (2) advertising and promotion materials; (3) training of commercial personnel and establishing policies and procedures; (4) advising on anti-kick back, fraud and abuse issues, and PhRMA code matters; (5) advising on state licensing and compliance issues as well as government price reporting; and (6) advising on sales operations issues; and (7) assistance with legal matters associated with the company’s European operations. Candidates should present at least 7 years of experience, preferably including both law firm and in-house experience.  Further, they should demonstrate a deep understanding of compliance issues facing pharmaceutical companies and knowledge of the Anti-kickback Statute and the False Claims Act as well as OIG/FDA issues relating to the promotion of pharmaceuticals.
